The 2007 Cy Awards

After an ominous world lighting effect, Espilae appeared on stage and humorously welcomed the audience to the 2007 Cy Award ceremony. He introduced Cy leader Lady TeaL, who got the show underway.

And that concludes the winners list for 2007!

Overall the event was significantly shorter than years past, lasting just over two hours. The event received a surprising backlash from a rowdy group who conspired via Goober King's AWRadio broadcast dubbed the "Cy Awards Roast," and a large MSN Messenger group conversation. The commentary was entertaining at times, but considered inappropriate by others. Whether oblivious to the actions of these attendees or putting on a front, TeaL apparently has no resentment for them, reportedly stating "I love you guys :)" via telegram.

Despite some flaws with public speaking rights and erratic teleporting and ejections, the event was enjoyable.
